Hal,

Just the opposite. there were 1997 TTs AND TT"S" models, but in 1998, only the TT "S" model was imported to the US.

Drove my TTS Sunday down from upstate in the snow - terrific. I've never seen a 98 S. I thought they were all 97's - at least all the US cars.
