Default 10% increase in value/36months ?

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...en&cardist=987

I call you attention to the quote in the description of this car, this is the first time I've ever heard of this type of prediction !!

Comments supposedly from Sports Car Market Magazine refrenced by this dealer. Heard of the mag before, anyone have the specific article in its context.

Sports Car Market (or SCM) is a good magazine. They have always ranked our cars as B out of a scale A - F in terms of long term 'desirability'. They also ranked our cars 4/5 stars in their 'appreciation rating' which means "will outperform the market at large; perhaps 10% gain in 36 months". This is out of their 2005 edition of SCM's Pocke Price Guide. The Dec 2004 issue of the magazine also has a German car price guide that has some of this infomation. I would guess the descritiption of the appreciation came from this 'Pocket Price Guide' and the author for the add left out the 'perhaps' part....

Maybe... But that yellow car has been for sale FOREVER, and the price (believe it or not) has come down.

Agreed, while SCM may be a somewhat reliable w/market trends I don't think it would apply to that car.
