Prius?

A recent article in Business week noted that at 2.50 a gallon it would take 15 years to recoup the price difference in the price of the accord hybrid vs the standard accord just from the mileage.

Buy the Prius you will like it. My wife is getting 51 to 54 mph mixed freeway and city driving to work. As far as the A/C it works great, I did tint the windows with Huper-optic film. Call around I paid retail on a package 6 in February when most dealers were asking a 5 to 10 k premium.

Earlier this year, I sold my Toyota PreRunner in favor of a lunch box, or a tipped over refrigerator as my Scion xB is white in color. The thing is a BLAST to drive and with my heavy footed freeway driving, I get ~31-32mpg. I paid $10,300.00 for a 2004 model and its been saving me ~$60/week in gas when compared to the 20mpg of the PreRunner. I have a 95 mile round trip for work. I cannot say enough about the Scion brand.
It is a buzz box as it does need another top gear, but after I 'dynomatted' the ENTIRE thing, its a lot quieter. For a small little toaster, it has mega room inside. It requires a sense of humor to drive.
The biggest downside is safety as I have not been able to find side impact testing results, so one has to assume these things wouldnt fair as well as other compact.
