I was looking at some brand new Big red calipers the other day to purchase. I have them on my 94 turbo (fronts) and the fronts of my GTS in black. I wanted to purchase these to swap out my black calipers to red without painting. The guy who had them insisted they were fronts but when i looked at them they were axially mounted instead of radially mounted. This months Panorama Magazine has a nice article on the upgrade with part numbers. They claim the front caliper part number is 993.351.425.10 Left and 426 R. I know that to be the correct number. The rears they have listed as 965.352.422.12 L and 422 R. I don't think this number is correct. I believe this is the part number for the medium S4 brakes used on the rears of my 94 turbo.

The number on the Calipers for sale were 993.352.045.00 and .046. I believe the 352 stands for rears, yet the pad size seamed to be the 132mm x 58mm instead of the 132mm x 48 mm used on the rears. I also noted that both pistons appeared to be the same size and both dampers were the same size.

Anyone know what part numbers and application these brakes are used for?

993-352-045-00 and .046 are the part numbers for the right & left rear rotors for the MY96+ Turbo, TurboLook and CarreraRS options M339 and M491 (C4S) and not the calipers! (or PET is wrong). Send me a PM...

Sorry, My bad.

The part numbers I listed were for the rotors. I should have listed 993.352.425.10 and 426.10 as the calipers this is different than the 965.352.421.12 and 422.12 they have listed in this months Panorama which I believe is a typo.
