Default Looking at a 993TT need help

I am looking for a 96 guards red 993TT. I found one on Premier’s (Springfield Missouri) web site. Does any have any information on the car? Has anyone driven the car?

Thanks

I have no idea, but you're gonna get a blast with a TT if you compare it to an M5

I believe Premier has good reputation of buying nice low mileage cars privately and selling
them at "full retail" anybody else have acutual experience??

BMWM5,

Have you considered Arena Red? Waldo is for sale. If you live nearby, you're welcome to a test drive.

$65,000 - 70,000 but so much depends on what service it needs...
condition of turbos, oil leaks (can be quite expensive), clutch slave cylinder, clutch,
tires, brakes, belts, update oil lines, diverter valve replacement, does it have original shocks,
if it does they are shot and the springs are "tired", etc. etc. don't
ask me how I know...

Default Other potential source for 993TT

I found that Premiere had "good" cars but RPMSportsCars had "great" ones. Expect to pay a little more but the difference is much lower mileage and better condition. Ray at RPM was a pleasure to work with.

With the 30k maintenance completed would it take care of some of the potential problems Woodster has mentioned. Thanks for all your feedback

30K maintenance is just belts, filters and plugs. Only a thorough PPI will address the items mentioned. The only way you can guarantee that they are good is to buy a higher mileage car cheap and do them yourself.

Ive talked with the people at Premier on a few cars over the years. They generally have very nice cars but as someone mentioned they charge a hefty premium for them. They were very knowledgeable and polite but in the end I found better value doing my own leg work and not paying them a hefty price.

that almost goes without saying, best "value" is almost always found thru private party.
Not everyone wants to spend the time/travel to do so. For those who do not have the time
the dealers mentioned
above seem to specialize in the 993tt. I found mine thru add in rennlist (1000 miles away)

This might be nice if the miles aren't too high

That's the same car that was on EBay for $49,900. It has 96K miles or so and the engine was rebuilt at 84K miles. The mileage may be off but they were this high. I don't know where the 12K mileage came from. I called about this car but some guy answered stating that so many people had called the number which was incorrect. I believe ca993twin bought this car.

Old fartus beat me to it, and I believe he got a sweet car! I cannot wait to hear about it after he has driven it a bit.

Yeah, it looks like a really good deal on a rare car. There was a website detailing the conversion. Cannot remember the site, but OFE still has the link, I am sure!!
