Not the best turbos considering whats available today. For $3,300.00 there are much better choices.

He is busy anihilating the market for K24's!
That repair looks really scary and I would say you run the risk of FOD everyday you drive the car.

I'm here.. The way that I look at it is, when someone needs K24's they will pay whatever it takes.. For me it is easier to get K24's than "GOOD" K16 cores..

The damage shown is very common.. I would say that it is a very typical shipping error due to the lack of packaging.. The turbine housing hits the compressor housing.

As Jean mentioned, it is critical that the weld was/is perfect.. There is alot of stress from the clamp and sheet metal in that area of the compressor housing.

These turbos are owned by myself and were ordered new this spring when my car was down with a broken shaft in a K 16 hybrid. I have had a set of these turbos on the car prior to going to the stage 2 hybrids. They preformed terrific especially with Todd's protomotive 550hp set up. Plus there is something comforting about a Borg Warner or OEM part number for such a critical part. The repair was professionally done by an aircraft propeller service here in the Twin Cities coordinated with our local porsche shop. I have reduced the price to $2600 now since FedEX just sent me a check for the insured value for the damaged turbo charger. I have been told that the cost for replacing the housing that had the damage is less than $200, but that the part may take more than a few weeks to get.

Default this is a great opportunity for k-24's

I must tell you folks I know grcdvm personally, he bought the k-24's after having a catatastrophic
failure with his hybrids (I was with him/he was following my car). one k-24 was damaged in shipping
and he had it repaired. If you knew him like I do, you would know that his garage is cleaner than
your house, he is a doctor, business owner and pilot. he is a perfectonist and
anything he owns he makes better than new, and
most of all he is a man of his word. So, if you want to try the very proven k-24's on your car,
this is a great deal !!!

sincerely,

marty K.

Are you offering any guarantee on the housing repair?

If whoever buys these units, I will offer to inspect them and fix the housing/polish it, and give the "A" okay on them.. Of course you'd have to ship the turbo to me..

Edit: No charge..
