Default HOW low is too LOW?

I just got the car back from the PSS9 install and the front is very low.

I cannot get a finger between the tire and the fender edge when the wheel is turned. Comparing to the 996TT where there is at least 2.5 inches below the fender edge.

Pictures tomorrow when I have light to make a few.

How low is TOO LOW?

Thanks!

Felker:

IMHO, thats too low.

Although the car looks cool at that ride height, you'll have some bump steer issues that can only be cured by either installing EVO uprights and tie-rods or raising the car.

I run w/HD @ROW setting and will going to the PSS9 later this year but yours appears too low. If I tried running that low in Missouri w/the roads I would be asking for trouble. You have to have the proper rake for the height to look right.

Too low, and I like it low. Buy the way your car looks great. I have the same color combination. If you would like to see a picture I will post after you clear. I have the PSS9's (thanks to steve at renn sport) Self installed. They made a huge diffrence. I delivered my car to prototech today for a TT install. That place is unreal. The cars there are like a candy store....

Height looks about the same as mine, about perfect but I would refer to experts such as Steve
@ Rennsport, etc. for actual data. Looks perfect, love the wheels and the GT3 seats !!

It looks like your rake is off. The front seems too low and the rear too high.

Maybe Steve Weiner can answer this. The lower you go with the PSS9's, aren't you changing the spring rates? Some coilover systems the ride height is independent of the spring compression but with the PSS9's I thought as the height was adjusted, so were the spring rates?

I think your front might be to low, do you have any bouncing in the front end over bumps?

Default Rake off for sure:)

I run 19" RUF as others and I am alot lower. Cannot even get finger inside infact on hard right and left decreasing turns I rub and need to back off throttle to stop the rubbing. I put this post up a few weeks back.

Good luck with it.

Wright Tuning also did the last suspension work on my car, and its ride height and rake looks very similar to Felker's car. The cars of adsc4s, Tom, and Vince certainly don't look so severely raked.

I'm suffering from a tremendous amount of bump steer, and am wondering if their set-up is too severe? Also, with respect to possible over-compression of the springs (as suggested by Bradford), my suspension harshly bottomed out over a severe highway expansion joint the other day (almost knocked my fillings out!).

I'm considering raising the ride height a bit, or adding the GT2 Evo uprights. Something's got to be done.
