Andial 3.8 Update
I just got off the phone with Mitch at Andial. They pulled my engine apart and sent it off to Ollie's(machine shop). Engine condition was commensurate with the mileage(65K). Loose exhaust valves, separated lifter(cam follower), cracked plastic injector block, well worn clutch and flywheel. The turbos looked OK, Kevin will have them soon and I'll pass on what he finds. Trans mainshaft is straight, no hard launches for this guy! The early build cars had different cam sprockets, which will be updated. I'll keep you posted on progress.

Just heard from Kevin on the turbos. Some evidence of the ceramic coating on the exhaust ports flaking off and nicking the turbine wheels. He says that is very normal at 65K miles. Shafts had some blueing indicating a few hot shutdowns, but seals and bearings were fine. Probably got a bit cooked the couple times I spun off the track and stalled, then had trouble restarting due to flooding. Talked to Mitch at Andial last week and everything is back from Ollies and I should have the car in about another week. I'm not really sure exactly what that plastic injector block is, but the cracks were due to age and heat and not a big deal.

I didnt mean more bang for your buck, as in other cars.... hello..... ... .. see my car, I meant what about bigger turbos, Intercooler, etc., etc., etc.,....

Possibly not the biggest bang for the buck, but the biggest reliable bang for the buck, which is hugely important to me. My car has been so trouble free for 10 years that I'd be suicidal if I spent the bucks to mod and was chasing gremlins. My Suby comment was tongue in cheek, as bang for the buck is almost an oxymoron when you apply the phrase to the 993tt.

Vince,
The Andial 3.8 conversion is "the most bang". Forget the rest of that sentence. It is the most reliable big HP engine out there, unless you are skillful (and lucky) enough to piece together something on your own. I can't wait to hear 911/Q45's report on his first test drive. Yehaw.
