Recaro GT3 or Reacaro Poles?
I have not posted in some time
Lately have been doing alot of canyon driving out on mull. Kanan and latigo and have been talking to Dayton over at DPS and am wondering if I should go with gt3 or buy cheaper recaros. Does any one have any ideas.
Also where is the meet tomorrow in Calab.?
Thanks for the help.
by the way for those who remember my posts and the details of my car. Runs perfect and could not be happier. Just ask the 360 from the other kanan day. 3.8 has amazing power down low.

Nice motor! Well i just had a set of GT3 seats and a set of SPGs toying with the idea which are better- i thought the GT3 maybe slightly better looking and why some people go crazy over them but I thought the SPGs were a better fit- more tighter which i like. I wouldnt buy the poles though they have cheaper construction i believe -the backs of them are smooth and porsche went for the SPGs anyway so i wouldnt comprismise either.

What's involved in installing GT3 seats?
My understanding was that GT3 seats couldn't be installed in our cars. A friend bought a set for his 996tt and loves them. Do you have to fabricate separate mounts or do they work out of the box?

Contrary to popular belief, GT3 seats will fit straight out of a 996/986 and into a 993. The major issue is that the seats will position you too high. You'll need to get Brey-Krause adapters for it.
Read all about it.

I have the GT3 seat on my driver's side - i love it. Fits beautifully, comfortable for short and long journeys, and you FEEL the car so much better underneath you.
When i need them i clip my 6 points in to the eye bolts i have rigged up.
I used the 996 runners and find them a good height, but i always used to jack up my electric seats to their highest setting at the front and almost highest setting at the back.
I did have to fabricate a seat belt receiver mount though for the standard diagonal belt, using a cut down high tensile M12 coach bolt, three washers and two nuts.

spg is the tightest fitting of the three.
gt3 race seats and pole position are about same fit.
it's very hard to find pole position in leather.
it's best to sit in the seat that's installed in the car to check seat height AND put buckle oem belt up. the small should belt hoes in spg and pp positions the belt in such a way that it cuts my neck. on the gt3 seats, the holes are large and my shoulder can lift the belt up a tad so my neck isn't being cut by belt.
