Y.S "but remember it's all about the torque which our cars don't have esp on the low end.."
I disagree, modifed 993tt are torque motors. It's fairly easy to generate 450-500 lb ft. at 4000 rpm in the 3.6 tt motor with minor mods. The Viper, btw produces 490 at 3800 rpm. I know that the factory 3.8 GT2's were getting 650 ft lbs at 4500 rpm with over 500 ft lbs at 4000 rpm. In the european sports car series in 97-98 the GT2's would pull the Vipers out of the corners before the FIA restricted the porsche's inlet.

Yea I didnt understand that comment either no torque? 400 ft lbs is alot of torque. and its easy and inexpensive to mod a TT(realtively) to get 450 hp and 450 ft lbs.
Now its not my Chevy truck which has 600 ftlbs but my truck cant beat a viper. and I DONT want to be running around in a bad boy toyota supra either. If I wanted to run with that crowd then I would get a honda with a coffee can on the back and a wooden wing

I really found it surprising to hear those comments from you and yes i am glad you explained it and for that my apologies.
However i do agree with you in hanging out with certain crowds and trust me i hate Supras from that point of view but it really is a great day to day car yet it lacks something that a Porsche has and thats why i bought a C2 Turbo.
( No more flame suit )

Yasir why is that suprising? I have an overactive sense of humor and it gets me in trouble once in awhile. No apology needed!! just a misunderstanding and a bad joke on my part!

I can't believe a water pumper is on the 993 board giving an air cooled buddy a hard time, what has this world come to?
Yasir, Paul used to be a great guy, I don't know what happened to him since about a month

By next Monday I will post my 60-130 times (before I have my greddy reprogrammed). I will
try low boost (.8 bar), high boost (.95 bar), and possibly a run on a half tank of race gas.

Marty , looking forward to it, don't forget the videocam if you have one!
How easy/difficult is it to install the Greddy Profec and have it properly calibrated on an engine? Can a good DIYer do it or does it need professional help? Anyone who has done it...?

" Jim, did you get a chance to do a 60-120 run yet? I dont remember seeing yours posted."
Yes I did post. 60-130mph on damp toll road but cool temp. average was 7.3 over 3 runs. I need a passenger to time me as its more difficult than it seems. No one at the rest home wants to ride with me cause I scare em.
Jrgordonsr.
Why would I put my almost stock street car engine in an all out race car with serious suspension like yours. Good luck at Fontana.
FWIW, beware of E55's. My best run on stock pos Conti's is 12:46@116. at the old Carlsbad (no traction) raceway b4 it closed. Guys on the east coast are low 12's. If they catch you off boost your toast.
