How much should I list my 993TT for?
I have a '96 993TT with almost 56K miles on it - I still owe 59K on it, but am beginning to think more about a family car and the practical side of things. I am the second owner (the first was a doctor who traded it in towards a CGT). The car is running fabspeed muffler bypasses (I still have the original mufflers in storage) and has a little wear on the side bolsters of the drivers seat. Other than that the car is in excellent condition. My only question is whether I should put it up for sale now or wait a few months. If I can get equal or more than the balance of the remainder of the loan I'll probably put it up for sale soon. I've talked about selling it before, but now I have to be more serious about it. Thanks in advance.

I would think it would depend on the option list and the service history. I would say if you are looking to get your loan paid off, you should ask about $62K, that allows haggling room to get you to the $59K mark.

A prospective new owner will be concerned about the clutch, shocks, steering rack, clutch slave cylinder, ballast resistors, 60k service, and tires. All that stuff adds up pretty fast. Your price will depend on how convincing you can be about the status of these things. $60k sounds right if these things are not a big worry to your prospective buyer. BTW, love that color combo... there is NOTHING better.

$60k is dreaming, probably 55k, after a lot of tire kickers, mileage matters, alot.

PS, you may even have to dip into the low 50's to move, you have a lot of work on your hands.

Color play another important role. I notice Arena Red is not for everyone, however, I almost bought a arena red last year. If the maintance uptodate and condition of the car is in good shape and willing to wait, 55K to 60K.

Thanks for all the input guys. Just to be safe I'm going to wait until the spring/early summer to put it up for sale - at that point I will owe about $52K on the car. I'll list it for $60K and hopefully will get equal to more than what I owe on the car. My dealer has always serviced the car and has all the records on file. I've had a few people PM me regarding the car, so if anyone is willing to wait a few months the car will be up for sale at a good price.
