Cat sensors? Cats dead?

Your OPC should be able to tell you the fault code via the OBD port to give a good idea what the problem is.

By the way, you havn't just put a sports exhaust or by pass pipes on have you? As I believe this can trip the light a few times till the ECU learns to love the new exhaust.

Thanks

Martyn.

Edited to say, just seen you have put a by pass on, has it been on long?

i saw this one

http://www.auterraweb.com/index.html
http://www.auterraweb.com/scantoolbasics.html

It offers a dynamometer function... to measure hp and 0-60 times etc... seems like a neat function to have... although i rather have it in a laptop than the palm..

Can anyone with experience shed some light on which to buy with the features like one above on a PC???

Thanks

The first thing you should have done was gone down to the Porsche Dealer and introduced yourself, as you want them to be your best friend Its nice to call your service manager and take your car down anytime, cause they know you. They will plug the car and tell you what the problem is. They shouldnt charge you for this, as they know you will eventually pay.. How many miles do you have on your car. By the way I was in Vegas last year and my check engine light came on. I drove to the dealer out on Sahara, the only ones in town, and they told me they couldnt touch my car for at least 10 days. needless to say I drove home with the light on, and nothing bad happened . But make it a point to befriend a Porsche Service Manager.

My check engine light came on - turns out $20 fixed the problem - bad gas cap!
