Spoiler delete
Out of curiosity, has anyone successfully relocated the intercooler to remove the rear spoiler on a TT? I've heard of a similar mod done by either the factory or a German tuner for a Porsche family member car, the TT had the exterior look of the 4S.

It's probably the Ruf CTR-2 that you're thinking of -- see: http://www.fantasycars.com/derek/cars/ruf.html
The intercoolers have been relocated to the rear fenders -- see:

Cliff, not everyone shares the same tastes, this isn't to say the 993TT doesn't look fantastic, but to me the "iconic" tail looks like a technically necessary but aesthetically compromising addition to an otherwise perfectly flowing and muscular design. I agree the C2S has presence and grace like no other p-car.
Rassel, thanks for the Lotec info, I'll look it up, although I can say right off the bat they could have thought of a better company name!

Chris,
Lotec doesn't exist anymore. It is now called TTP (Turbo Tuning Pietz) . Their homepage is http://www.t-t-p.de/
993 N.A -> 450 bhp Turbo costs 22.800 €, and is available without rear-wing.
I believe the solution is a with a liquid intercooler system, even though the homepage doesn't say so.

I'm in with Cliff. I think the organic flow of the wing really adds to the lines of the TT. Instead of drooping off the back and being a "large wheel well" it balances it out and elongates it. Of course this is just my opinion only and some will scoff at what I just said, but I wanted to let Cliff know he's not alone

TTP is a very well known european tuner. They are behind most of the turbo systems that companies like Gemballa sell. They did have their good old days but I think they stayed a bit behind in terms of R&D. The TT conversion with fender located intercoolers must be expensive and I am not sure it is a good idea. Ruf had its own share of problems with this setup as far as temps were concerned.
In any case I would not favor a turbo car without the rear wing, but that's my opinion.
Cliff, I can live with the 964 T tail, in particular the 1992 Turbo S, which in my opinion is the true classic turbo look, I just never really liked the 993TT one, then again I plainly dislike the GT2 tail for a street car (looks good on a race car) but I use it on both my turbos because I don't have a choice. I would take any tail though with that Titanium car you have
