I've been traveling to San Diego recently and would like to find a '76 station with the 100 octane gas. The '76 web site was of no help.

Does anyone know of a station between Oceanside and SD near the 5 Fwy??

Closest is on La Paz off the 5, about 40 miles north of the 78. Also try Cosby Oil in San Diego.

as far as I know when I made the serch previously it turned up zilch as everyone either only sold leaded or stopped selling it altogether. I found a place in miramar that sells it in 5g drums but it's 10 bucks a gallon! needless to say i have only been there once. If it was 5 bucks I would be there pretty often.

Bill, the station on La Paz is my usual fill up.

Sean, yea, if I could get that gas in small drums for five bucks a gallon, I'd have several in my garage.

They guy who had the leaded gas might be willing to do a purchase. That place that sold the 5 gallon drums for 10 bucks a gallon might be pursuaded to cut a deal if you buy either in bulk or regularly. I debated going back and seeing what they'd do, they're by miramar so it's a lot more convenient also

Paradise VW in San Marcos can get unleaded 101 Octane, I also purchased 101 Unleaded Octane from a commercial Texaco also in San Marcos, I will cruise by there tomorrow and find out the name... keep you posted....
