Question for those who have done the cat bypass mod....
How much does the noise level change if you have aftermarket or modified mufflers?
Does it really affect spool up of the turbos?
I bought a set off ebay for $300.00 and plan to install them today.

I eliminate the cats and install the mufflers bypass and the sound is pretty loud for some people. In my case, I love it. Felt like a race car on the street with very strong sport sound. Your car spools more fast; you'r gonna feel the difference!!!

The "noise" I prefer to call it the" sound" will increase a lot, but in a good way, you will love it and your car will love it too! The bypass does help the spool-up, to what degree it is hard to estimate. Good luck!

Does it really affect spool up of the turbos? I did not notice any improvement
I bought a set off ebay for $300.00 and plan to install them today. Good luck. I hope you have some spare studs and nuts laying around for the connection at the turbo.. About half the time, they are fused together and tend to strip..

Thanks Bob.
I should be ok on the turbo studs as they are only 5,000 miles old and have never seen rain. Glad to hear the sound will change very little as I like the way it sounds now. I would like it to be a little louder with the same type of sound that it has now.

Install done!!
Sound level changed very little. Same type of sound as before just slighty louder. I find the exhaust note perfect with my SCARGO modified mufflers! Spool up has improved on my k24's. Lower gears pull harder than before. I even hear some turbo whine now.
