Default How about a K27-K16 Hybrid Turbocharger

First off this is a spoof!!! It's the end of the day and I received an email today about the K27 hybrid for the 993TT, so I have some time, so I'll post the picture. It is a joke, but there isn't a week that goes by that I get a email inquiry about K27 K24 or K16 based turbo's... Well, the picture actually shows a K27 compressor wheel set into my Stage 5 compressor housing..

Yes, it is possible, but it is not wise... The reason is this wheel is not that efficient. One could use it just to say that he is running K27 Trim, but that would be very foolish... And expensive... There are plenty of better choices out there.

Kevin, I thought your stage 6 was larger than a k27 compressor wheel.

Some reknown European tuners (I am sure in the US too) offer the K27 as part of their 993TT 600+ hp and 800+NM mindblowing packages, their only downside being that the spool starts at 3000RPMs and you get full boost at 5,800 RPMs, therefore a very wild but narrow powerband, that is not useable on a street car. None of them offered the option of building a hybrid such as the one above, unless a very customized and expensive job was requested.
This must be the best of both worlds.
Kevin where any tests performed to let us know what the characteristics are, as far as CFM, performance characteristics etc..?

When are you going to have a website with description of these wonders, details, pricing etc..?

Jean, I have so many project in my life... I am sloooowly working on my website... It's not practical to put such a wheel into production. There are other Stages that will out-perform this setup.
