Hello everyone, the problem of smoke in turbo engines can be several, and the author of the post explains it quite well, if there is smoke at startup and the turbine housing is dry, the problem is that the oil reaches the combustion chamber through the intercooler pipes from the turbo, the oil reaches the intercooler pipes through the condensation of the oil vapors sucked by the turbos through the pcv breather.

If the exhaust side has oil, the problem is that the turbo oil return is clogged or the oil has difficulty getting down into the carter.

To solve the smoke, you have to vent the vapors outside or use an oil catch can with a filter or labyrinth inside.

The user who speaks of the oil pushed inside by the exhaust gases, this statement is totally wrong.

I am dedicated to the repair and modification of turbos and I have solved problems of oil in the exhaust and smoke in several engines.
