I have the same problem, back seat footwell on passenger side. I have checked the inlet pipe for oil fill to oil tank. The pipe is visible if you remove plastic covers above wheel. There is a gasket around where pipe goes into the bodywork Gasket can be worn or damaged. I put more liquid gasket around pipe. But I am still not sure if this has solved the problem.

Lots of places possible - side windows (water can go under the trim panels and end up at the floor), rear window gasket (can get under the rear parcel shelf and wick down to the floor - did one car once where there must of been a gallon of water being held by the underlayment on the seats), sunroof drains (usually more obvious due to dripping), door seals ... it goes on and on. You have to dig more, peel back some carpet, perhaps remove some panels and see if you can trace down a leak. You can also go into the back seats, close the door and have someone soak the car with a garden hose from the outside and look for leaks. Best of luck!

I have had the same problem and never found a solution. The driver side right where the ecu is! I pulled up the carpet in the drivers footwell and it was totally wet after driver through a rain shower.
I had read on here there were 'crimps' in the chasis where water wicks up inside and into the cabin. There's a thread on here where a guy in Europe found his floor rusting and discovered this then completely fixed it himself. With a full restoration of sorts.
This should be 993 wide.
[on a side note]
My black rat is running awesome. I drive to Napa and SF regularly without any problems.

Hmm never seen this, and I am sure the OP can tell the difference between Pentosin and water - I hope. Given how the hard lines run, you would need a major leak to get any fluid inside the compartment - and it would be pretty obvious outside the car. Did this happen to you?

Yes those can be resealed to the floor , during manufacturing these holes are open to allow galvanizing and primer treatments to drain , then prior to painting and undercoating they are glued and sealed in place, should an errant jack or lift be positioned beneath it can knock them loose or break the seal.
