I have a power steering fluid leak on my '97TT and dealer tells me a new pump is near $7K plus $1K labor!
Do any of you guys know anybody who rebuilds power steering pumps? Thanks!

Haven't heard of hydraulic pumps failing, the usual fail item is the high pressure hydraulic line that has the banjo bolt. I've had mine fail twice (one time leaving my car stranded at the track until new line came from Germany). Are they sure it's the pump? That pump is a pain to remove, I can understand the labor part. Can't help you with the pump, maybe check for used parts?

I would suggest getting a second opinion. The low pressure (return) hose failed on mine a couple years ago, $150 for the part.

I mis-spoke...it is the steering rack that is leaking..

This is a rebuild with new seals just like regular 993s. Plenty of DIY threads in the forum.
