Default 996 wheels on a 993

Hey Guys,

I've seen 996 wheels on 993's but I want to make sure before I buy them. Is it a straight bolt on, offset the same?

They are size 18x8.5 in the front and 18x11 in the rear. The offsets are ET30 and ET45 respectively

Thanks

If they are 996TT wheels, I believe the fronts are 18x8. They will bolt on and fit nicely on a widebody but will not fit a narrow body in the rear. I had these wheels on my 993 C4S and I believe Viperbob is running them on his 993TT.

mine are hollow spokes.

Thanks for the replies. It sounds like it's no issue. These are actually HRE wheels off a 2001 turbo.

Crap, looks like the auction just ended.

I doubt that the 8.5" ET30 would have fit the front of a 993.

Glad I didn't bid. Thx.

Do you know the offset for the 993 hollow spokes. Found this for some clarification.

How does that weight compare to the late model hollow spokes?

I'm waiting on a new rear wheel to arrive from Porsche so I can put a set of '04 Turbo take offs on my 993 Turbo.

I hope it gets here soon so I don't blow my PSS9 money on more exotic wheels. My logic is that I can put the 996 wheels on my Boxster S at a later date...

I like the look of the 996TT wheels on the 993. Wish they fit a narrow body as I always see them for sale at reasonable prices..
