intercooler hoses S Car Go
I've bought a set of the 'improved' s car go hoses. I know some of you have got these but there's been no pics so here are some. Looks like standard intake silicone type hose (similar looking to 'vibrant' brand), but little thicker. The ends have nice recesses to hold the lips and they are a little longer than stock hoses. He sells bypass valve hoses and the ISV valve hoses as a kit. Little pricey but not a lot more than stock hoses which are pricey too. Might have a chance to put them on this week end and will report back fit. Plan to clean the intercooler/turbo ends off of oil really well and use some hair spray...

Could not be happier with the set I put on my car !!!! There is no special science here. There are a bit thicker / firmer which resists the hose end being extruded out from under the clamp. The big change is that they are longer. If the up graded factory hoses were a bit longer to allow proper engagement to the intercooler there would be no need for these aftermarket ones.
Thankfully someone ( S-Car-Go) took the initiative to correct another one of Porsche's engineering miscalculations. High recommend for everyone.

$800.00 is for the complete kit (5 hoses). Just the intercooler hoses is $500 bucks (I think). Get those and check my earlier post "hoses" for the other 3. Save a pretty penny to buy other stuff

I've actually made some aluminum/copper pipes a while back (and I can probably so a better job now with the welder) but you still need some silicone pieces to connect at the turbo/intercooler ends and you end up with 4 connections that can fail instead of 2... There are more solid connections you can use but that requires machining of the turbo outlet and intercooler inlet, and you're probably right, some flex is probably better. If you think about how you put the intercooler on, you end up moving the tubes quite a bit to get both sides on and then connect to the throttle body/bolts to fan housing.

They're just adding a small premium over the stock, absurdly overpriced hoses. The ask is unsurprising. It's annoying, but not surprising.

166 a piece is a good buy. I think it's a pretty small market relatively speaking for parts for these cars and good/appreciate that some vendors are still making and developing parts for 15 yr old cars!

I'm just not seeing issues with the upgraded OEM tubes when used with t-bar or similar clamps.
