Intake / intercooler project
#33
I know it's been a while but I've been researching intercoolers for a 993 turbo and came across gt2rs coolers and was intrigued by your design. However couldnt find any threads if you got it completed and if it fits etc. Thanks

Do you have any plans on building more? I may be interested depending on cost.

As others have mentioned are you looking for producing another set or a couple as I and others seem interested and also any pics installed and also any data to show IAT etc with the 3 coolers. Thanks

The intercooler works very good. However, if your turbos are out of their efficiency range and spitting out very hot air and your at WOT for 15 seconds or so your AITs will be around 160 degrees F. I don't plan on making any more A2A intercoolers. It's a hobby. Sorry

Tackers work is impeccable, wow!
A few years back I started down the path of making an intercooler using the 997 GT2 intercoolers. The goal was to use 2 intercoolers, not 3 like Tacker and be able to fit it under the the stock rear wing with no modifications. I bought a pair of used intercoolers. and made a plenum and base plate.
I mocked up the IC's on the plenum.
The problem I ran into was that the width of the assembled unit was going to be too wide to fit under a stock rear wing once I put the end tanks on. I would've had to cut open the inside of the wing for it to fit, which I wasn't willing to do. So the project sits .
