I'm a little confused. This is a narrow body car (rockers), intercoolers are mounted on the sides of the engine compartment. So this is a modified Carrera? The ad says it started as a 993 Turbo

It's a RUF vin car, so it probably started out as a body in white. It's an interesting build.

Looks like it is the same intercooler layout as the original yellowbird. Agreed; it is difficult to see how they can get any air inside the engine bay and no air intakes.

interesting build indeed.

price upon request?......lots?

if you watch the video he likes to shift a lot whilst scowling

nice sound tho...actually awesome imo

didn't seem any quicker than mine for having 510hp??
510 from the location of those inter-coolers?
(got a dyno on that?)

this is almost a job for ole Steve to comment on...i dont think "Rufus" was configured like this...i think he was a conversion (a stunning beautiful conversion). but i think his inter-cooler was top mount/traditional making like 530? idk dont quote me on that.

cheers

I've seen this in person. This car was in Nashville up until last week. Very pretty and the color is mesmerizing. The engine bay is crowded though with RUF slotting the intercoolers inside the rear guards. Interesting but does not seem the best thought out ductwork. Global motorsport wanted $550k for it. Was about 250k above what I would be willing to pay for it. I'll stick with my non-RUF 993tt with 40 extra hp. It's what the plebians have to make do with around here

Miss Steve and Rufus. I think there was a thread with pics of the ruf conversion being done on his car with a tech who came from Germany todo it.
Anyone know what Steve's up to lately?

Just like a Porsche from the "Special Wishes" dept, if you're willing to pay for it, you spec it the way you want and they'll build it! This is what they do.
