I saw a black 993 TT on Rt 280 in Cupertino, CA
Haven't seen one in years on the road. He had it lowered nicely - looked badass.

I drive down their for the Sunoco fuel at Kings 76 and the the roads around Alices but twasnt me. I have seen another black turbo a few times once in SF. Seeing any 993 Turbo is pretty rare unless you are at the mechanics. I once saw a C4S with a Turbo S tail in the city - zenith blue maybe.

Is it me or does everybody else get excited when you see and old Porsche going down the road. Especially the one with the big whale tail that is still the greatest looking 911 of all time!

I helped a friend of mine sell his black TT a few years ago to a Google employee. It could be the same car. I don't believe the new owner is on Rennlist.
I'd say probably not as he gave me a weird look when I waved going by. I have both Porsche and Rennlist stickers on the rear of the truck. |
Glad you waved. I do too with about a 50% response. BTW thanks for the tip about King's 76. Never tried putting 100 octane in the car. Can't wait to take a quick break from work to fill up.

I drive mine around there. Usually up 92 and then south along Skyline and descend down 84
I live off of 280 in Los Altos |
I used to live in San Jose by Saratoga/Campbell behind AMC 14. I would always pass by this one house off of Quito that had a black 993 TT, along with a 994, and one or two other pre 2000 porsches that would cycle through from time to time. Short stay porsches would typically be on jack stands, probably used as parts cars, or quick flips.

I've got to say that every time I drive my cars I get thumbs up, waives, and people talking to me. It's great to know how many fans there are out there
|
Might have been me, since I work in Cupertino.

Just moved to the bay area. Brought my 993 and it's my only car here for the time being. I live in Richmond though and started biking to work but for a while I was in Oakland and driving every day. Drove it across the country. Love how there are just so many Porsches in the area parked on the street and driving around. I picked up a friend of mine in los altos and did some scenic driving around Alice's restaurant, roads were really good. Anyone ever want to meet up at GGR PCA event, let me know I've done a few Diablo region events since it's closer for me but I'm willing to trek out to meet up.
