TPC Supercharger + motorized spoiler = cut engine lid ... photos?
OK...finishing up a TPC supercharger DIY install and have come to the point of notching the under side of my engine hood to make clearance for the supercharger pulley.
Any of you out there that have already done this have a photo you can share of how you notched it? I want it like I like my porridge...just right, so want to see what has worked for others before diving into it.
Thanks!

Although I can't be of great help, I've had the same question. This is one of the few pictures I've seen (I'm not sure who's car this is) where you can see how the decklid has been cut.

I would think one could put some ink or latex paint on some small kitchen sponges and place them on the parts of the engine that protrude from the engine bay. Close the lid until it hits the sponges that will imprint on the underside of the lid. This should give one a starting point as to where any lid adjustments need to be made. Also if the clearance issue is very small, I wonder if the engine mounts can be lowered a tad. I am not an expert on this as others may chime in with guidance. My car has the Carrera Aero Kit so the grill location is empty and has lots of room under the tail. If the grill is where your clearance issue is adding a tail is always an option.

Three Wheelin'
I still have my old 'modified' motorized lid up in the garage attic wrapped in plastic. I change over to a turbo wing some years ago. If you still need a pix, I can go up one morning before it gets too hot up there. The shop did have to notch the metal tube some. The tube was filled in with heavy duty body shop structural adhesive and painted black.
Just let me know...

Completely slipped my mind to send a pic of the notched out decklid to accommodate for the TPC supercharger pulley. See enclosed pics. Hope this is helpful to you guys.

Absolutely love the added power with the supercharger. I fell in love with the 993 immediately when I drove one at a dealer here in South Florida that wasn’t supercharged. Only thing was I felt the motor was a bit anemic compared to some of the cars I have owned in the past. This 993 was supercharged by the previous owner, another longtime rennlister.

Thanks ModQuench.
I ended up using the old lipstick on the pulley, close the lid, grind, repeat method. Seemed to do the trick. Now I have to go back and paint the exposed metal.
While I was in there I went ahead and replaced suspension bushings with Elephant sport, solid subframe bushings, RS engine mounts, fister stage 2 mufflers, new wheel bearings, rebuilt the alternator, replaced tranny/diff fluid, oil, added PLX wideband O2, IAT, boost sensors.
It completely transformed the car. I love it.
I purchased the kit from Auto Atlanta and they were great. I wish I could say the same for TPC.
Here are some photos along the way...
