How far from Berkeley can the PPI take place? There are some shops I am familiar with a bit away from there.
Bauer is the only shop that I am aware of really close to Berkeley. Don't know anything about them, but as I recall there are some comments about them in the archives.
A short distance away in Lafayette is Valhalla, and there is Deutche Motorsport (Tom Martenot) in Concord (925-689-0232). Farther still is Kahlers in Dublin (925-829-2050). If it were an older 911 there is Sam Sipkins near the Oakland Coliseum (510-632-8232).
Maybe some other locals can give you a referral closer to Berkeley.
