I know it seems silly to celebrate, but c'mon, this is the People's Republic of California and where CARB and EPA behave like czars, so passing smog is always a cause for celebration for older cars! So yeaaaaaa!


Sidenote: the numbers on my 993 are so clean it's crazy ...I mean for a 1995 with 165k miles and no work done except regular maintenance and spirited daily driving, wow!

Congrats Edward!
The smog tech guy told me my car runs cleaner than most two year old cars. Or would that be two year "new" cars?

Proof positive that CARB (in its current wisdom) is indeed organized crime, in State gov't clothing.

Just imagine how difficult it would be to have the smog data generate a pass on the 3rd test, with two prior successive clean air test results.

Oh, and all the 993 owners in California that are happy to pay more in fuel taxes which are being disguised as infrastructure repair funds; please know this money dumps into the "general" slush fund (with absolutely no tracibility to expenditure of where or how the money is spent). You guys have MY blessing to just keep on paying for a smog test and certification every two years...
