Default Rothsport Billet Shifter - Interior Finishing Kit

Group Buy Opportunity. I have reached out to a shop that did an install on another members car to see if they could fabricate some kits for the rest of us who are looking for a nice clean installed look.

https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...orsche-14.html

If you have a billet shifter ready to install, have an existing already installed, or plan to do one in the future, this is the best install I have seen.

These will come in a kit with adapter plate, mounting hardware, and outer boot. Pricing will be right around $100 each plus shipping. I'll likely have everything shipped directly to me and then ship the individual kits out to those who bought in. Looking to get 10 kits sold for the production run. Payment up front via paypal so i'm not stuck with 10 of these Please pm me if interested.

This is for the interior finishing kit only. Does not include the shifter or shifter installation parts.

This is what the kit looks like installed:

Why does the top of the boot look torn?

I want to like this, since I have the Rothsport shifter and am not pleased with my leather boot hackjob w/ ziptie. But IMO, this doesnt look any better. Maybe for a more track-oriented car. Good luck.

I haven't seen a zip tie leather boot job that looks good, and in my opinion with a cleaner cut on the rubber boot, this solution looks much more well thought out.

Bump, will be calling Sleepers with final counts on Friday. Some of the 964 guys are buying these to use with their Function First ***** also. Should work well for most aftermarket shift *****.

Let me know if any of you guys want in.

I have the Rothsport setup and would love to get this, but I am confused about the torn up upper part of the rubber surround. Is that normal?

The rubber boot has to stretch over the shift ****... so some cutting/gluing might be necessary depending on your shifter.

Here's another example (the base plate is different, but the same shift boot):

^ This is certainly heading in the right direction.

The setup Singer often uses is, not surprisingly, the goal I am after. It would appear the **** is a separate part from the shift lever, allowing a closer fit on the boot.

I also love how the base plate is depressed, though I'm guessing it collects debris...

As 911Jetta stated, it's just how that one was done. Purchasers of the kit will have the option to modify the rubber boot as they see fit.

Let me know if you are in. I think we are over 10 kits strong at the moment, so this is a go.

I made my own out of a generic eBay alacantara boot and a bit of carbon... not hard to do!

I guess my biggest hang up with the zip tied leather boot is that fabric just looks out of place to me with this ****/lever. The rubber boot makes this setup look more purposeful and complete in my opinion. Singer of course nailed it with the custom recessed cover, but for the price this suits my needs.
