Hi Robin,

If the fan is magnesium, you gotta hope nothing gets caught in there and causes a fire. Talk about an engine melt down....

Well guys,
I decided to follow the advice of our own Robin Sun and have my fan blade done by the same guy that did his in Florida. Howard Cook at Powder Tech is doing it right now.

He is also doing my fan shroud. I am having the fan done in Guards Red to match the car and the brakes, and the fan shroud is being done in silver. The shroud will not really stick out that much since it is covered mostly by the band that holds it on, but I think the silver edge on it and the silver blades behind the red fan will show up nicely for a good visual effect.

As always, I will try to post pics for everyone interested, so they can use it as a measuring stick.

David,
VERY AFFORDABLE, in my opinion. I got the brakes, the fan and the housing all sandblasted and powdercoated. The cost breakdown per part is as follows:

brakes: $70/caliper
fan: $35 (includes a clear coat and sanding of the fan blade edges)
Fan housing: $45

Anyway, I am excited about getting it done and can't wait to see the results. I'll post pics.
