Maybe a dumb question... Can the new fob be programmed by me for the car, or is a trip to the dealer necessary?
Looks like a nice product!

Options to program the key fobs to your 911
Actually it's a GREAT question.
You have 3 options:
If you do it yourself,
However, if you are going to have somebody else do this, I would personally prefer that you find a good Independent Mechanic. I feel like Indy Mechs are more used to 993s. So they've probably done more of this kind of programming service than the dealer staff.
Lastly, we can do this exact programming service for you.
If you want that, you will need to send us your car's Immobilizer module and existing remotes for us to set them up with the new ones. (Any amount of fobs that you want get married to the Immo each time in the same programming session.)
Does that answer your question?

If you do it yourself,
- you'll need your car's 4-Digit Immobilizer PIN code (maybe it's in your owner's manual, or perhaps the dealer will have it) and,
- you'll need to familiarize yourself with the programming procedure (not hard to do, but it's not for everyone)
