Maybe a dumb question... Can the new fob be programmed by me for the car, or is a trip to the dealer necessary?

Looks like a nice product!

Default Options to program the key fobs to your 911

Actually it's a GREAT question.

You have 3 options:
  1. You can program the fobs to your car yourself, or
  2. the dealership guys can do it, or
  3. we can do it for you
For each of those options there are things to consider.

If you do it yourself,
  • you'll need your car's 4-Digit Immobilizer PIN code (maybe it's in your owner's manual, or perhaps the dealer will have it) and,
  • you'll need to familiarize yourself with the programming procedure (not hard to do, but it's not for everyone)
If the dealer does this for you, they'll look up your car's VIN in their database to get the Immo Code and perform the programming procedure.

However, if you are going to have somebody else do this, I would personally prefer that you find a good Independent Mechanic. I feel like Indy Mechs are more used to 993s. So they've probably done more of this kind of programming service than the dealer staff.

Lastly, we can do this exact programming service for you.

If you want that, you will need to send us your car's Immobilizer module and existing remotes for us to set them up with the new ones. (Any amount of fobs that you want get married to the Immo each time in the same programming session.)

Does that answer your question?

This sounds like a great product.

Does anyone have a link to the programming procedure?

Yes, these fob transmitters will definitely work on your '95.

In fact, they work with all 993's with Immobilizer or "Drive Block System".

Check your side window for this sticker.

They are easily available online, but you know what? Just because you asked I'm going to make an instructional video next week.
