Seems high at first blush, but it's funny to think that it's only 7,200mi/year.

I am obviously biased, but given my search to find the right car, I think this is a "reasonable" asking price assuming perfect condition 10/10 no story car, which it appears to be. Before all the "you are crazy" responses start, I would challenge you to find a car that checks all the boxes here. Not some of the boxes. To the right buyer, all the boxes have to be checked. 1998 C2S, Silver/Black, all original, low ownership, low miles, no paint, no mechanical issues, last month of air cooled production, full documentation, original factory hollow spokes, etc. They are just getting harder to find. If this asking price has some room for negotiation, its a "good buy" for someone that wants the last 993 in widebody in this configuration and doesn't want a turbo. Top 5% of market. It would need to check out as such.

12k miles - $159k asking

I prefer that the "sport seat box" be checked off for this price.

Not sure one can claim that last one.

A car that hardly ever gets used almost always has mechanical issues. Or will in short order.

Cars don't like to sit.

That said, I think you're mostly correct. But for $160K, a slightly more used 993TT with about 30K miles on it is a far better buy

Well I agree with that. I meant no history of major mechanical repairs that were needed, full PPI with leakdown compression etc. My car only has 18k miles and knock on wood so far running very strong with no issues. I do think the low mileage = bad thing does get overblown a bit, but I do get your point.

I think those that would rather have turbo would see this car as overpriced. Those that must have naturally aspirated wouldn't see the turbo as an alternative.

Re: sports seats, I have them, love them, and would want them included at this price point. But for someone that must have them, that can be fixed, although $$

^^ That's been there forever. I believe it's the owners car and he just does that to see who bites. I lived out there and bought my 85 targa from Park Place. It's a good reseller and they price their cars right- with this exception!

Agree, when I bought mine last year (38k miles) it hadn't been driven an inch in more than 7 years and I spent all last weekend spanking her hard with no issues.
