anyone know anything about annex Houston? Looks they do consignments. I'm looking for a 993 and they have one. It's way overpriced but don't know if it's even worth following up on.

There is this notion that a new or used car dealer or broker in some cases is good or bad. The issue is not the dealer it's the car's condition, a 20 year old one at that, so collect as much information as you can. Have it inspected and if at all possible be there when the inspection is being done to understand the true scope. Have someone who knows how the car should drive, drive it for you as lots of hidden and expensive stuff will be revealed by a driver who is very familiar with 993. Last but not least if the inspection is being done by a service shop or a dealer be aware that things they may consider minor or part of maintenance may not be spoken of even though they may be expensive to have repaired/replaced/serviced.

If you have a solid understanding of the car the reputation of the dealer/broker becomes a lot less relevant.
Conversely, understand a dealer/broker as having a solid reputation concerning a car where you have little information will always involve surprises after-the-fact some positive and some potentially negative and very costly.
