Default Door Window Trim Removal?

Does anyone know how to remove the strip of black molding that runs between the door and bottom edge of the window (#1 in the diagram)?

I believe it is held in place by part #3 in your dwg., and will pry up using a plastic interior pry tool.

I'm curious, does the rear side window moulding remove in the same way?

Brad,
I haven't had the need to remove the rear window moulding, but my link in post #8 describes the removal. Give it a try; just dont get ham fisted with it.

No, they are held in place with a few screws which are visible and accessible when you remove the glass and rubber seal

There could be couple of molding pieces that have visible screws in them but in the photo below, this is what holds the top trim piece in place. Flip that piece 180°, and this is what pushes into the door top. The glass does NOT need to be removed.

The 1/4 windows are done like this...

Wow, the rear quarter window trim removal looks pretty scary! Nothing like the front.

The clips you show are only used on the doors and NOT the rear quarters which are as I previously stated, screwed in with 4 screws per side followed by a seal of butyl tape under the extruded aluminium trim

Nothing to be scarred of and if you wish I can pop one of mine out tomorrow and detail the process with full pics. It takes no more than 5 mins per side and is very easy as the rear quarters ARE not bonded in mate

I can and am happy to detail the process if required.

No kidding...Thats why I separated my response.

The clips are for the door trim piece.

I posted a link that describes how to remove the rear quarter window.
