IMHO, not sure what the fuss is over ride quality. i just moved from 17 OEM cup II's to tramonts, and unequivocally, can say the car rides better, and that is with a reasonably stiff settings on my 10's. 6F/5R. if you're not bombing around tracks frequently looking for every tenth of a second i think the weight issue is overblown. and they are beautiful and i have the pictures to prove it.

Was emailing Christine with Tramont...She said the centers can be painted "GT2 Grey" color as an option. Does anyone have this color on their wheels and can share pictures? Love to see how it looks compare to the standard silver color.

Their color "GT2 Grey" is NOT exactly like the GT2 wheels. They use epoxy paints on the inners of their wheels, and she informed me that they can apply any RAL color you want, but it has to be from that color system, and the Porsche GT2 color is not a RAL color from what I can tell.
Their GT2 Grey is close to RAL 9023 (Pearl Dark Grey) with a gloss coating, but not exact.
There are several web sites that have the RAL colors, but looking at any colors on a PC is always suspect. However, a few good sites to give you some ideas are :

This shows the color and the closest Pantone color as well:

But again, its very hard to tell from pictures, too many variables.

Thanks Magdaddy. I have a polar silver car and also, like you, thought it would be great to have some contrast. Your centers do look dark. Christine from Tramont sent me a picture of the near GT2 grey. The left wheel is the OEM color, the right is Tremont's GT2 Grey. To my eyes, they are close to the OEM GT2 color.

That looks like the same color on both images to me...unless Tramont changed they're "GT2" color. Mine are significantly darker

I have a very nice digital scale, that I bought to weigh bicycle parts on...accuracy is two digits to the right of the decimal point.
Front-8.5" wide, et 40...26.27 lbs
Rear-11" wide, et38...27.82 lbs.
Weighed with steel valve stems, but no Center caps.
I don't imagine that Tramont manufactures different centers that clear "Big Reds"...that clearance probably has more to do with the amount of milling from the backside of the centers, than the inner/outer barrels.
I went from 996TTS hollow spokes, to these wheels...same tire's, albiet wider fronts(225-235)same 295 rears. From the perspective of a purely "spiritedly" driven street car, whatever additional rotational weight gain was inconsequential.
The dramatic visual difference, was not inconsequential.
As much of a monumental PITA the shipping fiasco was to get these wheels...being the North America guinea pig and all, I'd do it again.
Absolutely love these wheels. Simply a poor man's/working man's/average Joe's/financially prudent man's...solution for that look.

I have been trying to assemble a list of wheel weights for comparable wheels for my car - unfortunately since this data is pulled from multiple sources I cannot vouch for its total accuracy, but I think the relative positions of the wheels look about right.
I could not find the weights of the RUF 19" wheel anywhere, so I weighed mine and subtracted the published weights of the tires - so there is prob quite a bit of error in there ...
It puts the Tramont's about mid-range. Some of the numbers look at bit suspect - i.e. why are the rears of the MY02's not much heavier than the fronts, but they are so different on the Hollow Spokes ..

My Tramont wheels arrived and I got them mounted today. It looks great. Centers are painted GT2 Grey as an extra charge option from Tramont. I wanted a little contrast with the car (Polar Silver C4S)

I am also looking to get a set for my 96 C4S. Tramont also recommend the same sizes as yours. I am not sure about going too deep at the rear. I personally prefer something less aggressive than 11x18 offset 40. Would 10.5x18 or a 11x18 with an offset higher than 40 work on a WB?
