My 993 is dog friendly ... post your dog
Last year was a pretty rough year for me:
- my 3 Goldens all died within a 10 month Period. We got them all as rescues at around 7 months old each. They lived to ages 13,14, and 16. They were all great dogs and will live in my heart forever.
- I was hospitalized for 2 months, now I'm OK.
- our new house currently being built will include a 4 car heated man cave
- This year will be better, I retired and at age 56. I now have time to drive the Porsche I have lots of projects lined up for my 993C4S for next winter including an engine drop to replace some weeping timing chain covers. I have only driven it @ 400 miles a year for the past 5 years - simply no time due to work demands. It is a well maintained near flawless sub 30K non trailer queen.
The new "monster" is Baxter who just turned 6 months old who is waiting for his 1st ride in the 993. The other dogs were very well trained and car friendly. Baxter still needs a little more work

1st pic: Lilly the Portuguese Water Dog ringing the front doorbell ...2nd pic: Lilly sitting under the 993 assisting with a chassis cleaning,, hey hand me that 14mm wrench..
The dog never rides in the coupes front seat, never. Although occasionally with rear seat backs down, rides spread across in the back deck. The clear aesthetic rear window film by Huper Optik greatly reduces heat-/-solar gain; dog is all smiles.
(Edit: So true.... A PWD will not leave your sight. - BradB post 12)

I've always had a golden ever since the mid 70's. Here is our latest, Abigail, or Abby. She is almost nine months old.
No rides in the 993 yet, but she has been to the track!
Regards,

What a great thread!
For the first 9 years I owned the 993 I wouldn't let my dog(s) anywhere near it. No way! (Especially since I've had dogs that shed.) But, in 2011 I finally relented.

I don't have a 993, but we have 3 girls that always get to come along. Trixie is the smallest so she never pops her head up on rides...
Trixie, Katee, and Maggie - all going to be 11 this year. All rescues, and all love a little wind in their faces!

Sox, my Portuguese Water Dog, is my buddy who won't let me out of her sight. Literally. She loves garage duty.
She spends hours watching me wrench on things.
She occasionally takes a nap. And has been known to steal shop towels.
Or begs me for a frisbee break.
She loves opening my packages.
And is a fixture at every car show.
