Post club sport specs

Could not find any detail in the archives. Does anyone have the complete profile for a 1995/96 euro 993 club sport? I am particularly interested in the weight and gearing.

I have only seen one "real" 993 club sport and it is racing in PCA C stock. This car finishes in front of the fastest 993 Cup cars often. GTC1.

Cuzzin':

Oh-oh, I hear the sound of money...

I will e-mail you the specs. Weight is around 1100 kg. The Clubsport gearbox uses essentially the Supercup c-r gears (Ivan has the ratios because I e-mailed them to him a month ago); the RS Touring gearing is a little taller.

Hey, where were you at Summit Thurs.-Fri? We had decent weather and Big Fun (I even came out for the Ferrari Club event on Sat., but decided not to run--too cold and dreary...)

Thanks Viken.

Lee, I have traded my DE time for race time away from work. Are you going to CMP club race?

If the Club Sport is lighter and we have documentation for the log book we can match it.

1,100kg is 2,420#! That is 374lbs lighter than our current 2,794 RS allowable weight. We need verification on this...

Bill:

I'm already *at* Clubsport weight!! I sent you some specs just now. 1270 k.g. for Clubsport, 1120 for Cup car, but it's all off the Internet, so who knows, besides Viken, Gert, and Hank?

Re CMP: I'm still on the fence. I went in '99 and enjoyed it. I still remember the enticing aromas from the nearby DuPont nylon plant wafting over the little town I stayed in. Mmmmmn...

Sounds like our 2794 is it. There are two cars registered in B for CMP that would typically be D cars. A '92 RSA was one. Does lightening beyond class bump that car up 2 classes? We don't see many B cars.

Greg:

Will do. I tried to insert the Clubsport specs in places where the references were obviously to a Cupcar. Yeah, 2,400 lbs. is definitely Cupcar weight, we're at 2,790-ish, as Bill says. This is one reason I qualified with full tanks at Summit, and it turned out to be one of my lesser brainstorms, as I wound up 2 secs. slower than my practice time. (I have other reasons for my final placement, such as tidal patterns, gnats in my intakes, etc., but I thought I'd save those for later...)

Somewhere around here I have RS Touring vs. Clubsport gear ratios, also. I'll have to rummage...

Rgds,

Lee

1270 for the Carrera RS and the Clubsport, 1100 for the Cup car is correct (Christophorus 2/95 and 3/95).

RSA's can get bumped up by going with/or elimiating their mass air control meter (or something like that). They have to keep the same weight unless they change the classification of what their car is.

Thumbs up

While researching gear ratios for my recent transmission repair, I came across this reference. It has virtually all versions of 964 and 993 gearboxes listed with the correct ratios:

<a href="http://www.porotto.com/deutsch/G50.html" target="_blank">Gear Ratio Chart</a>

I had my C4S regeared with the Clubsport 3-6 ratios, and installed a RS LWF and clutch kit. Does it make a difference? To quote Austin Powers. "Yeah baby!"

This post caught my eye and I was comparing to my 88 cs (2,601 lb. factory). So I have this right...993 CS -2,794lbs and 993 Cup Car 2,431lbs.
