Same here. Pic gave me that "get off my lawn" feeling.

If it's too low... you are too old. :-)

That car will go through rear tires like nobody's business. I like the wheels though.

Nice car. I like the wheels. It is a little too low.

Yup, love the car but you can keep the wheels and the kiddieland stance; cuz I'm too old and prefer function over flash.

I'm somewhat surprised we cant see light under the outside edge of the rear wheels.

Default modded 993

it's like food, not everything is for everybody. it's not my speed or what i'd do with my car, but i can appreciate the fact that he's making it his own. i think it's "big rig" from miami...

in terms of modded 993's i like this one, although i can do without the tartan (again, personal taste) and i think the 993's body is sooo sexy there's no need to try and make it look like a long hood; but he's responding to singer. he's running the same wheels, but i like them better with the long hood look, a little too retro for me on a period correct 993.

The words silly and useless come to my mind.

Default variety is the spice

Thanks Neil...! Great read. Made my morning.

People see different things when they look at art. While one can catalog Porsche into seemingly infinite categories (classic to modern, street to race, or analog to digital) I like the division between the purist vs. the modified. And as far as the modified goes - like the author said; your car is right up there.

Like the Harley owner, adding your own personal touch is part of the fun. Personally, I flip-flop between mods like the bumperette delete or upgrading the sound system. In fact my 993 is at the body shop now getting back its original nose, lenses and bumperettes - going back to closer to stock. Made this decision since it needed to go in to address the start of rust below front & back windscreens. But I'll never add back that rear wiper.
