Some money spent on this.... to bad about the tranny. No affiliation with dealer... just thought was an interesting find.

Looks to be in good shape. Oops on the 911 badge though. Looks like they peeled the numbers off 1 by 1 and tried to place them on by hand. That's not how it's done

Several years after 993 production had ceased, PAG held an inventory of Turbo S rear quarters. The PAG folks offered rear Turbo S quarters attractively discounted, although the required rear S type bumper fascia et al was traditionally priced.
The 993 turbo S rear quarter swap process is "Open Heart" surgery by any definition; weld seem at the door post - rear window and onto the engine cover area. I'd be curious of this coupe's actual "Dealer" rear quarter R & R process? When? ... Possibly concealing a collision episode? Funny looking Turbo S fender'd ..standard '97 993 2dr 4sp automatic coupe .... but why?

Re: Tiptronic:
My car is a 6-speed, like every vehicle I've had for decades, like almost all others on this Forum. Selling and buying prices for these transmissions clearly reflect these preferences, and disdain.
But, objectively, is the Tiptronic a lousy piece of technology and transmission, as an automatic, all else being considered?
I've never driven one or been in one. Is it noticeably slower?
