^I think you'll be happy with the Stage 1 and SCXP. I drove around last weekend with the Stage 2's with stock cat and I wouldn't want it any louder.

I really wish you guys would let this thread die lol, I have been see-sawing between keeping my Fister 2's with the Fabspeed SCXP and looking for a Fister 1 trade.
Nam brought me back to keeping the 2's and this thread keeps getting refreshed lol.

Mark- I was thinking the same, let it die away quietly. Lol
Sound level tolerance is very subjective thing. I've heard 2 993s local to me with XPSC and stage 1. Not what I would call loud at all. Very nice tone but not loud. Harleys around here are way louder. I'm going with XP and stage 2, with cat delete

Second that statement. Fister II in combination with SCXP just destroys a perfect exhaust note. Ask my wife...

all done, i need to hand it to ilko for pushing me over the edge to switch down and john for swapping mufflers with me. got everything back together, the volume and overall tone of the exhaust seems the same as it was previously with fister II's.
moving the car around the garage without cats or mufflers on it was very entertaining, it sounded (and smelled) like a nascar or a donzi.
also finished RS heat bypass, and bumperette delete.
shiny things...

Nice job Kevin!
Glad to hear your choices worked out to your satisfaction.
Do you have to do emission testing in your neck O' the woods?
Im curious as to the numbers put out by the sport cats.
Cheers,
P

pay to make louder
A few years ago my wife questioned the invoice for Fister III's.
"I thought mufflers are supposed to make cars quieter. Why would anyone pay to make them louder"?
Maybe Kelly Anne could answer that one?

993 C4s exhaust
Hello everyone.
I am new to Rennlist. and this is my first attempt at participating :-)
I am about to finalize the purchase of this vehicle. My question, is the underneath pipes meant to be visible? if so, what type of fabspeed exhausts are they?
are they loud?
thank you

^Looks like the car has a cat delete pipe "Test Pipe". Not sure what mufflers those are. I would guess its pretty loud with no cat. Its not going to pass smog either. I would look into it further before you purchase something that will need attention right away.

Thanks for your feedback. I will be exporting it out of the US, so not so worried about SMOG. i am only concerned about the loud noise.. i hope to find some sort of conversion kit to install :S
