Default All that gray was making me blue : ( Interior change

When I purchased my 993, damn near everything other than the dash, speaker shelf, seat belts and a few trim pieces were classic gray. I started to think I had moved to Seattle! (No offense intended )

After installing black leather 996 sport seats with yellow stitching, I began looking at the gray vinyl rear seat backs and bottoms, with a certain amount of distain...

Yesterday, a fleabay package arrived from the aformentioned city of Seattle. Contents; black leather seat backs and bottoms, and yes, I am happier now.

OMG! Is that rear seat bottom glue, ever an Elm St., nightmare!

And no more silly asthetic changes. Only performance mods that make sense.

The black seat contrast is very nice!
Exact opposite of my previous car with oem grey leather with deviated black carpeting.

The interior looks great Paul! Nice contrast with the black and gray. How about meeting up for a spirited drive once the rainy days are gone?

Looks great. I feel the same way about mine, also classic gray. I just put a black 3 spoke wheel in & it makes me want more black.

Default plastic dash blank

What was/is the intended rectangular switch to the left of the light **** on the dash? The ever-visible plastic blank is a reminder of something left out or off, likely for ROW cars.

Those sport seats and interior look great P-daddy!

...And thank you guys, for your positive comments.
I have been spending some quality time with the car with a recent caliper refresh and color change, brake and clutch slave bleed; and now the wrestling match with the rear seat bottom glue and relatively simple rear seat installation.

See, rainy days are good for many things, including the relief of the Socal drought.

Oh yeah, and some "before" pics...

It's the headlamp level adjustment switch.

Picture from the web, not my car!

Nice interior guys. I wonder whether as these cars age there will be a trend to go back to the 4 spoke steering wheel. Still got mine, but hey, that is me ;-)

And you know what? That tape deck has never been used, it's never had a cassette inserted in it.

Can you can swap the 996 3-spoker into a tip car? Perhaps "tip for tip?"

The 996 wheel is a triple win as compared to the 993 version. Smaller thicker and aesthetically much nicer to look at. Also you get the added bonus of a slighter newer air bag system.
