Default The Porsche 911 Story

I stumbled upon this while searching movies to watch on Amazon Prime. IMHO, it's very well done. Don't know how long this has been out there so this might be old news. In minute 40 episode 1, Ingo Rubener, the creepiness caught me off guard and my wife choked on her bag of chips.

Wow, I just watched that the other night. I wasn't bad but I feel like it portrays the porsche enthusiast as being pretty strange... I know we are but maybe not like that? Just IMO, still liked the two episodes.

Strange? I resemble that remark!

Enthusiasts are strange ...the "others" don't get it. There is always that breed who "geek out" on the details, voice their convictions, and stand on principles ...even if it is that silly little hobby (ok, tell me that isn't 94.859% of you here ). It is what separates the enthusiast from the casual owner, let alone the poseur. For me it's Porsche, guitars, and cooking. Those who don't really know me think it's bit weird; those who do shrug and write it off as me. I embrace the strange.

Quirky and a little OCD. Does that qualify as strange?

I watched it the other day. They spoke very highly of the 993 so I was happy. I am also quite strange.

The "Strange" I'm talking about is like the lady with the stretched porsche crest tramp stamp...

I'm all for the geeking out and OCD, OCD, OCD, (if you get my phun)

Yeah, you are totally right, that was pretty damn strange! I really didn't see that coming.

That was a nice find. But didn't really catch this strange statement you mentioned until I heard it myself.

Thanks for sharing.
