RS pulley pros/cons - what are they?

I am about to tightened down the new RS fan hub to the alternator and I don't seem to have enough room for one thin washer let alone the thick one that came with the original pulley.
Do I need to put any washers between the RS hub and the big nut on the threaded end of the alternator shaft?
Should I put locktite on the threads of the alternator shaft before tightening the big nut?

Reversing RS hub set-up
I have decided to reverse my RS hub set-up, as I need all the juice I can get from my battery (I like the A/C on full blast in the summer, drive with my HIDs on at all times etc.).
Does anyone have a good diagram that shows the set-up with the updated pulley? I have the two halves of the original pulley, but can't remember the exact position, sequence, shims, bolts etc.
Planning to do this job over the weekend, if the shims arrive in time.
