Default 993 joining my 991.2 and 997.1

Loaded up in Houston on the way to Tampa Porsche for certification. 6spd with 49,000 miles. I've never ridden nor driven in an air cooled 911. Can't wait! I'll be sure to spend more time here since I need to learn as much about the car as possible. Cheers!

Congratulations on the new car!

I have had several of the newer model 911s and still think the 993 is the best for hitting the backroads - look forward to your impressions.

Maybe we should conduct a poll as to which of the water pumpers you'll dump first!

LOL!!! I'll be honest, I miss driving my 997 w/PSE when I'm in my 991.2 even with the PSE on. I can't wait to drive the air cooled.

You know, its interesting that you say this...I had to take my new 993 out of storage to get it emission tested and after I drove it (only the second time out) I had to call back the previous owner and tell him how much I enjoyed the spirited drive on the back roads. It was truly a blast...I have had a 991 GT3(spectacular car) and I still have a 996 and 997 and frankly, it was a completely a new experience and a fun one at that. The car was just so much more nimble and lighter than its water cooled successors...really nice. Maybe nowhere near the power I am used to and certainly no match for my Lambo but at the end of the day these cars are really about power but rather enjoying how man and machine can carve through the beautiful landscape around us...it was almost spiritual. I know now why I got this car. I look forward to the summer drives in the Pacific Northwest!

And congrats to the OP! Gorgeous car.

Just arrived at the Porsche dealer. Getting maintenance then new cosmetic OEM improvements (new fog lights, headlight covers, original stereo, steering wheel, shifter w/boot, pedals, etc)

Big congrats... I have a 997.1 cab and my 993 c4s. As much as I enjoy the power the the crisp of my 997, you can't deny the magic of the 993
