Anyone know of 18" Fuchs or "Fuchs style" wheels"?
I always liked the classic look of the black/polished silver Fuchs wheels on the 911. I would think that there would be 18" "versions" of this wheel around somewhere, even if not made by Fuchs. Has anyone seen anything similar by a quality manufacturer? It would be interesting to see how these would look on a 993.

HR Make a very nice one. check out their website at www.hrewheels.com
it's the HRE 311. I don't know if they make it in an 18, but I've seen many in 17.

Fuchs wheels for the 993
You are asking for a lot....in order to make a one (1) piece forged wheel such as the Fuchs wheel, the potential manufacturer would have to invest millions of dollars for the dies. With the somewhat limited 993 aftermarket, that is not going to happen.
The best you can do is forged centers with spun aluminum inners and outers. If you do not want to see the bolts connecting the outers to the centers, Fikse makes a nice three (3) piece wheel. If you want to see the bolys, checl out Kinesis and a host of others.

I can't vouch for HRE, but most of the other 3pc fuch sellers are using 16" centers from original 16x6 fuchs. With these centers, 17" really is as large as you can go. A few vendors would be stephen at www.imagineauto.com , www.lindseyracing.com (Steve Olsen's 3.6RSR wheels(Excellence Dec'03) or Jae at www.mirageintl.com.
I can't picture how they would look...........Max?

If you want 3 piece Fuch's wheels, Jae Lee at Mirage International in San Diego is a great source. In addition, Jae is very supportive of PCA Club Racing... a great driver and a good guy.
Jae installed coilovers on a SC for a buddy of mine in conjunction with big torsion bars. With this set up, monster sway bars are not needed. You can tune the suspension with springs! What a concept!!!
See Jae...he is da man!

Burning Brakes
There is a problem putting a Fuchs look-alike wheel on a 964 or later 911. The problem is that Fuchs wheels are dished out, and 964-on wheels need a huge comparitive offset to fit the hub/brake design. Thus, a wheel that had the look of a Fuchs would have to stick out of the wheel well. But, I have provided a photoshop of what one might look like anyway.

Post a pic of the wheels that Jae builds for you. I don't think they will fit on my car...I have 993TT Big Reds. I have seen the wheels that Jae builds...beautiful and well crafted. Jae is a real nut when it comes to detail.
