Question Transport from SF to Seattle Area

I am putting a moving budget together and need to find a good enclosed transport service from San Francisco bay area to the Seattle area.

I have sent a request to Plycar for a quote.

I would appreciate suggestions of other transport companies to move my 993.

Thanks

I bet there's a few here who would offer to drive your car for free, if you don't want to or are unable.

There are some BEAUTIFUL roads north of SFO. If this is a new 993 for you could get some really nice "father-son" bonding time in on the way up. I did a similar thing when I picked mine up and loved it. I still remember those first 1000 miles, through sun, rain and... more rain. I think it was the first rain mine every saw and he handled it like a champ.

I've had trouble shipping cars to NW from other locations. In fact, I recently had a car shipped to Fremont so that I can drive it up to WA; otherwise it's about a 4-8 week wait for transport.

It's either one really tough day from SF to Seattle or two easy ones. Not sure either one is something you want to do.

Sorry, this isn't exactly answering your question.

I went through this recently and relayed my experiences here --

First thing to decide is whether you want to deal with a broker (cheaper but one step removed from the shipper) or deal with the shipper directly (more expensive, but directly connected to those in charge)

I used the Finest Carrier (Broker) and was very pleased.

I've used this broker 3 times in the past few years. Based out of CA. No problems. And they are a site sponsor or at least they were. I haven't checked recently.

DRIVE IT!

I've done that route several times over the years.

Go up the 101 (through the Redwoods and the most amazing views of the coast that exist in the west) and stay the night in Crescent City.

Then take the 199 to the 5 and haul *** all the way to Seattle.

I'd drive it. I did the reverse when i bought my 993. Beautiful roads Seattle to SF and back. As others have said, its a very long one day drive or two short easy ones.
