Default Sunroof Delete Body Shop So CA

I'm going to do this and am seeking recommendations for a So CA body shop who has done this before and so knows exactly how to do it right (not interested in anyone learning as they go on my car). Intend to do a full roof skin replacement using a non sunroof NOS Porsche part or one off an older 911. San Diego ideally or am ok to venture North. Another Rennlister had his car done at DC Autocraft in Burbank however they are no longer working on cars older than 2007. CPR Porsche Restorations just north of here in Fallbrook also declined the job.

Thanks Jordan

if that does not work out for you, contact Ryan @ Collisions Plus Performance in Escondido.
They are primarily a collision repair shop but always seem to have at least one 911 / 912 in the shop for near total repair / resto.

Let me know how it works out. Sounds like an interesting project. John is doing an early 911 for me.

Default They Cup Car in La Jolla's 993: DC Autocraft

You have seen Cup Car's 993, it's the 1995 C2 to 993 RS conversion. DC Autocraft did it the right way....cut off the old roof, put on a sunroof delete roof from Porsche AG. Paint and sew in the headline of course. Roof came from Germany. It's awesome...no compromise solution! Just the way you want it. Come on Jason, don't pinch pennies now!

Yea, a lot of good shops tend to focus on certain years (and manufacturer). I believe CPR in Fallbrook has only done any extension work on a 993 once.

Martin I remember that day, as soon we saw Bob's car I knew it was all over for me at some point but the crying. This is going to be a $6k modification Omg never mind that I just coughed up over $3k for a new RS interior courtesy of Auto Intl here locally (looks bitchin' btw) I am sick sick sick lol. As noted above Bob did guide me to DC Autocraft but they said no. John has done this mod many times over and knows how to do it right (new Porsche panel as described herein). Excitement building....we took fully 150lbs out of my car before the RS interior went in. I expect 50lbs+ more to come off the top so it will be very interesting to see the final result on the scales once it's done.

In San Diego I go to Black Forest in Kearny Mesa. I don't believe they will do the mod but I would trust their judgement as to who can in San Diego. They have sent me other vendors that have done excellent work. Hope this helps. Cheers.
