993 your favorite?
Hi all. I'm sure the 993 is the favorite car for most people on this board including myself but what are your other favorites? Mine are my E30 M3 and FD RX-7.

On the street? All 911s. All 911s that I can work on, to be more specific........ Glad I've been able to enjoy for 2/3 of my life. Everything else is just for moving your *** around town.
On track? Sports racers. Was formula cars, but those are for the kids. (Yeah, yeah, Mario was still racing when he was my age now.)

At least on the outside.
So far I would not consider selling my 360 to buy another 993.

I like lightweight sports cars, and have historically focused my attention on Miatas. I have a Miata, a Lotus Exige, and a 993. I've also owned an Ariel Atom (though I've since sold it)

Gotta be honest- second fav. First will always be my first car, which I still have, and which will stay in the family at least thru the next generation, my '71 914.
My two boys, who inherited the car gene from me and their grandfather, will be taking care of the various P-cars when my wife and are moved on...
My oldest, who values his first Porsche ('06 Cayman S) much like my 914's just said recently if he could only keep one Porsche, it would be the 993. Yes, they are special...

Ford powered hot rods and muscle cars. My first car was a 1965 mustang fastback with a 2894v and toploader 4 speed. The thing could chirp the tires in 4th gear if you were determined. I miss it a lot.
The 289 was a lovely motor except for the oil leaks. At 18 years old I rebuilt the engine myself using a Chilton's book. I put a hot cam in it and had it back on the street within a few weeks. Those were the days!
