Default Ramps and kerbs

Hi Guys
The kerb in my girlfriends driveway is a little too deep for a 911. Is there any type of ramp that can be used to gradiate the kerb and prevent the front end of the car from scraping on the pavement. Not a ramp as such to raise the car too look under it just ..like a little mini ramp I guess it would have to be about a metre long ie. longer than the distance between the front spoiler and the front wheels....I've thought about using two lengths of steel plate but I was hoping that some braino had designed one for low cars that could be carried around with it and used as and when required.

Thanks

Donny,

Yes, there are many company's out there that makes ramps for cars. I purchase a pair of automotive drive up ramp from the below company to store my 993 in my warehouse which have a 4' high loading dock. There are smaller versions of the ramps that you can buy.

Sorry I should have been more specific. I corrected the original post. I provided the link as an example for the ramps you can get, there are many companys out there that have smaller ramps that you can use for that purpose.

Just do a search in yahoo and you will find many company that offers this type of product.

More ramps

I think this is the one

If the driveway is not too steep, try using a whole bunch of pea gravel to smooth out the transition. I did this on mine and it helps a quite a bit.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking about this. This is the kind of humor that makes my wife shake her head and frown at me. Then I laugh harder

I have a very steep driveway also. I have found the sweet spot where I back in (so I don't scrape my pipes) and angle the car parallel with the curb a bit. I'm able to slide right in so that I don't scratch the front end.
