Default Monterey, Carmel, Laguna Seca ....Who's Going?

It's my favorite time of the year! Car week on the Monterey Peninsula. We're headed out from San Diego early Thursday for 4 nights in Carmel. Doing Werks early Friday and then over to the Quail. Saturday to Concorso and Mecum. Sunday hanging around Carmel and lunch with the wives. Home Monday.

I'm hoping the fire and it's smoke stays to the East and HWY 1 stays open.

Who else is going? Any "real" plans? Other than a little bit of talk about the wildfire, just seems really quiet this year.

How is it? No smoke and ash? Warm, sunny?

Can't wait to get on the road tomorrow. I hope to be at Baha Cantina late tomorrow afternoon.

No smoke and ash. Sunny as I type. Mornings can be overcast depending where on the peninsula you are.
IIRC in 2009 when we met here, some ash floated up from Mexico fires, etc. Seen nothing like that this year.
Saw some impressive sunsets due partially to smoke during my long road trip, but nothing adverse to report since my arrival Monday.
Had my top down morning to night for 2 days in a row so far.
IMHO, bring a jacket & jeans at worst & you'll be fine. It's 40-50 degrees warmer where I'm from: bet you, Cindy, etc., will be fine.

Sweet. Thanks for the update Jager. Keep the pics coming.

I'm taking my new to me 335 convertible up there. The 993 can stay home and rest this year. Hope to bump into you soon.

Best car week in the world. I have only been twice once with my father and Brother and then came back 2 years later with my twin boys who were only 3 at the time. I want to make it an annual trip with my boys. Wish I still lived in San Diego. Now being back in Kentucky it take a flight and very difficult to take my 993. One day I will drive it across country or get it ship just so I can cruise around town during that week. It would be a dream to me.

Have fun this week and share some picture, we would love to see them on the forum. I am super jealous. My favorite time has always been Laguna Seca during that week.
