Default White Smoke

I took out my cat and replaced it with a straight pipe. This combined with the Fabspeed Maxflows makes my car sound come to life...truly exhilarating!

Only issue now is that I have white smoke coming out of my right exhaust. It doesn't happen at startup but it will happen after a restart when the engine is warm. The smoke lasts for a few minutes then it stops.

Any reason why this happens and could this be resolved?

Thank you.

White smoke is generally fuel and you might check to see if one of your injectors is leaking. If they have never been professionally cleaned, this is something I'd strongly recommend.

Steve, is it worth replacing the injectors, or is a cleaning just the same?

A clean/flow-bench is usually all that's needed. If an oring is needed, the person to whom is doing the servicing can replace them no problem.

Thanks Steve. As well, there is an black residue in my right exhaust pipe where the white smoke emits from which isn't present on the left exhaust pipe. Is this normal?

Yes, and if an injector(s) is/are fubar, the same servicing facility will let you know what needs to be replaced.

Wipe your finger across the black residue; is it wet or dry, and does it smell heavily of unburned fuel, or is it oily?
